CHILDREN'S MUSIC
At The Vocal Gymnasium we use the Musikgarten program which is a Family
based music program for Children (newborn to five years old) and their families. All of our music classes involve both parent and child for special bonding and developing musical skills in a fun and creative atmosphere.
In our classes we use singing and dancing with various folk songs and common familar songs from around the world. We explore instruments tapping out beats and playing to songs as a group. We use tonal and rythym patterns to introduce basic harmony and rhythym. Your child is learning basic music skills while having fun in a playful creative environment. We will dance, move and sing to simple folks, rock and spiritual songs with guitar and various instruments. The program includes fingerplays, body awareness, as well as, big and small gross motorskills development.
ALL CHILDREN'S MUSIC CLASSES ARE AT WILMETTE RECREATION CENTER TO REGISTER VISIT: The Wilmette Park District (click on the online registration page) type in Family Music for Toddlers or Babies to view the Musikgarten classes - if you have any problem call The Wilmette Park District at (847) 256-9686 or visit the Rec center at 3100 Glenview Road in Wilmette. Other locations in Evanston and East Wilmette will be starting in 2012.
CHILDREN'S PARTIES, CAMPS AND LIBRARY SHOWS:
Wendy will visit your school, library or camp with her guitar and perform familar songs for sing alongs, dancing activities, playing instruments and other fun activities such as bubbles, puppets, hoops and more.
Wendy will come to your home for your private party or child's special birthday. Pick some of your child's favorite songs and activities including: hoops, scarves, parachute, guitar, shaker eggs, jingle taps, various instruments for the children to play and a special hat for the birthday child - each child will get a special gift at the end of the party.

Musikgarten Nature Trail a day camp for children 4 yr - 6yrs. Activities combine Music and nature. Each 90-minute class will include music, outside exploration, instrument playing, craft and snack. Parents/Caretakers are invited to attend the final class performance. Nature+Music = Summer Fun! Musikgarten certified teacher.

When: (4 Day Camp) June 18th -22nd or July 9th – July 12th, 9:00AM-11: 30AM
Tuition: $200.00, which includes music instruction, art project and snack.
$100 non-refundable registration fee required with registration to be submitted no later than May 10th for all camps. Balance due in full by start of camp.
Nature’s Music Musikgarten day camp for children 3 - 5 years. This camp is a Musikgarten driven program providing your child with music & arts experiences. Focusing on encouraging creativity in your child and developing skills in music through a program that focuses on nature and music in educational and fun ways. Activities will include Instrument playing, Finger plays and Dances. Outside exploration. Craft and a snack will be included. Parents/Caretakers will be invited to attend the final class.

When: (4 Day Camp) June 25th - 28th or July 16th – July 19th, 9:00AM-11: 30AM
Tuition: $200.00 (non-refundable) fee, which includes instruction and snack. $100 non-refundable registration fee required with registration to be submitted no later than May 10th for all camps. Balance due in full by start of camp.
Rock & Roll KIDZ music day camp for children 3 - 6 years. Kidz love to Rock! This camp is Rock and Roll music driven program providing your child with a music & arts experience. Focusing on encouraging creativity in your child and developing skills in music through a program that focuses on Rock & Roll music in educational and fun ways using the structured Musikgarten model. Activities will include Instrument playing, Finger plays and Dances. Outside exploration, Craft and a snack will be included. Parents/Caretakers will be invited to attend the final class.

Tuition $200.00, which includes music instruction, art project and snack.

All camps can include early drop-off at 8:45am and lunch bunch until 12noon is optional for extra fee. Siblings are welcome and 10% discount for 2nd child!
